On the Drawing Table

I have many paintings in the work currently - e-mail me directly to see what may be coming up available. Many of my new works are leaving for shows and so may be available afterwards if not sold at the event.

One Friday while my husband and I were out and about while our little boy was in school, we stopped in my favorite town of Hardy to just have a nice lunch and look through the wonderful antique stores they have there. While at one shop my husband dragged me to a booth with an amazing silver tea set in it. The second I saw it I had to paint it ! but the price tag was way beyond the budget of a starving artist. Quite bummed I  made my way again around the store for cheaper finds for future paintings. My husband suggested I ask the store owner if perhaps I could rent the set for a weekend. He called the owner and she readily agreed. I was so excited to start on this exquisite set with all it's detail and personality. The painting is almost complete and while I was desperately hoping to make a very big show deadline, I fear I will not be finished in time, so now I must find another show to enter. This piece has taken almost a month to complete.
